Some people get to go on fabulous vacations, and some of us have to wait. These are just a few of the sights and tastes that intrigued my niece and nephew in California this summer. I thank them for sharing - better than a T-shirt, in my book :)
And San Francisco has the best sourdough bread. That's where I was first introduced to it 20 some years ago. I would always bring a loaf home on the plain with me. I even went as far as trying to make it once, but failed. I'll leave the baking to the professionals. I've never seen animal loaves before. Interesting - and chewy.
