I always like starting the week out on a sweet note. In exchange for offering some ideas to inspire you over the weekend, I need your suggestions on how to use this local honey from Bee Hill that I picked up at the Anderson Farmers Market.
The young man who sold it to me, profiled here, is probably in his teens now, and apparently still in the honey-making business!
I don't cook with a lot of honey, but want to do justice to this one. So please, share your suggestions.
Happy Monday!

Actually honey is a wonder food. It doesn't go bad, full of anti-oxidants and sometimes a better flavor and sweetner than sugar.
GO HONEY! (and the bees)
I'm not a big honey user either, but I have used it in marinades, sauces and in my bread machine. I make a French Honey Bread and an Oatmeal Honey Bread that everyone seems to like. None of these really showcase the taste of honey though.
I didn't know honey was full of anti-oxidants! Too cool!
I'm with Buzzkill. I've mixed it with other ingredients, but rarely enjoy it by itself.
Thanks all! Buzzy, have you ever slathered one of your delicious-sounding breads with some extra honey? That might showcase it . . .
I like honey, and use it as a general sweetner off and on...
Honey is a great ingredient in marinades. My secret weapon in a lot of things! (Hint: fried chicken)
