Loved it. Thanks for taking us on this Thanksgiving journey with you ( I see you are enjoying your car).

The shout-out for the Wordless Wednesday photos was very nice of you. Thank you. I look forward to sharing your photos in the future too.

Happy Holidays to you! Glad to see you back.

VelvaVelvahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16034246333318823700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4316997354640264566.post-78366833147211579502010-12-09T15:14:11.538-05:002010-12-09T15:14:11.538-05:00Wow what a post, it must have taking ages to put i...Wow what a post, it must have taking ages to put it on, well done! And you have a lovely fun family :-).

I like the salad with petals, I use a lot of petals in my kitchen now, also because most of the veggies are still a little small :-).

Ciao
AlessandraAlessandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12616072198034545392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4316997354640264566.post-46340913503279692162010-12-08T21:41:43.801-05:002010-12-08T21:41:43.801-05:00Awww, thanks, everyone.

It was the one thing I wanted to say at my Grandma's memorial service, but new I'd get too choked up to say it in front of that crowd. One of my fondest memories of her.

Dani, you are such a dearie! It's been great getting to know you too. Keep your dogs and chickens warm in FL, now, ya hear?

MS, I'll bet you have more than enough "food preferences" to contend with - particularly with twins, lol. You make me smile every time I read you. Keep singing - and directing - your heart out!

Epi! Thanks for stopping by! You are one of my great inspirations, and I am most honored to see you hear on the occasion of my 100th post. (And whenever I feel overloaded, I pause and consider how you persevere with such grace and culinary enthusiasm.)

Kelly, no, no, thank you! As you do with all celebrations, dear sis, you made this one great fun!

And Diva, yep, Pops used his "barbecue thingamjobs" again - and he got the meat cooked perfectly. Some of my favorite Thanksgivings have been of the "Lonely Hearts" - or as I like to call it, "strays" - variety, but I ended up editing out that lengthy storytelling tangent to save for another time :)

Happy holidays to all!
eggySharon Ruddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00598263732896925616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4316997354640264566.post-6890658798635594152010-12-08T19:46:48.634-05:002010-12-08T19:46:48.634-05:00Dang, Eggy, you sure made up for "lost time!&...Dang, Eggy, you sure made up for "lost time!" haha! I love that you shared so much of your Thanksgiving's past with us and am thankful for your friendship and your blogging!

Living away from family, for years I hosted a "Lonely Hearts" Thanksgiving dinner for friends away from families that were loads of fun!

I am also intrigued about how growing up you shrimp for the dinner. I bet many families eat "non-traditional" foods that are comforting to their families or regional. Our family would eat home made ravioli every year (along with the trad stuff!)

I see your pops got to use his barbecue thingamajobs again!

And I love the food of the month idea, I LOVE Maytag blue cheese, one of my faves! Crumbled over steak with roasted tomatoes in a salad.....mmmmm!!!

All the best to you for the Holiday season and beyond, dear Eggy! xoLaDivaCucinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06000430029590301972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4316997354640264566.post-13364639854854935372010-12-08T16:55:52.624-05:002010-12-08T16:55:52.624-05:00How honored to be featured on your 100th Post! Wouldn't that be an amazing experience if more of the family could convene together...like "old times". ( altho it would take a rather large home to accomodate us all).Aunt Marilynnoreply@blogger.com
